Happy 1st Birthday Breckston!

Breckston is going to be 1! We had a fun little party for him last night since Tyler has school on his birthday. It was a sesame street theme. I even made his cake. It turned out better then I thought it was going to. Breckston didn’t want to open his presents. All he wanted was Granddad Marc. He played with a car he got after he smothered his face with frosting and cake. He sure has a lot of family that loves and spoils him.
It’s crazy that he’s already 1. It has definitely been an adventure. Breckston is so smart. He says a lot of words. My favorite is HOT. He says Bert, Ernie, Elmo, Big Bird, Dad, Mom, hi, cheese, belly button and many more. He also remembers everything. He can’t walk yet. He walks if he is holding someone’s hand. He can stand on his own and take a few steps, but he gets a little scared or starts laughing because he gets so excited. I don’t think it will be to long before
I’ll be pulling my hair out chasing after him.

I think that we won’t have any issues with Breckston not wanting to eat. He loves food!! (Banana’s, spaghetti, cake, cookies, meat, chips and salsa, cheese, all other fruits). I love to watch him eat spaghetti. We always have to spray him off after he gets done.
I just wanted to let everyone know that we are grateful for everything they have done for our family and supporting us. Breckston is such a blessing to us and gives us something new to look forward to everyday. I can’t even tell you how much fun we have with the little stinker. He is going to be just like his father. I’m in trouble!

Thanks to all those who came to his party and for the gifts.

Halloween!!

Breckston was Tigger for Halloween. He was so dang cute. We took him trick-or-treating with Shanna and Bryce and their kids. We had lots of fun and Breckston got a bucket of treats. He really likes chocolate.

Elk Deer Hunt 2008

Wow!! Its been a crazy few months. We went hunting for a week during the first week of October. We both harvested a deer. Tyler got a little spike. I told him it was cute when he brought it back to camp. I happened to sleep in that morning. He didn’t like the fact mine was a little bigger. I had a lot of fun getting mine. I would have to say I get the worst buck fever ever. I had two chances to shoot a little 2-point. The first one was in the morning on October 8th. We were sitting near a bunch of people. That was kind of scary, so we dropped down a little hill and watched the trees. I was so cold, I kept walking around. At about 8:00 we decided to go up a little so we could see more hunting ground. We were there maybe 5 minutes before I heard crunching. I went back toward where we were sitting and I saw 4 or 5 deer. They were maybe 15 feet from me. I noticed a little 2-point in the herd. He stopped right in front of me and watched me forever (it felt like). I actually turned my safety off this time, but didn’t pull the gun up. I’m a dork. I didn’t even get a shot off. I was worried about getting a good shot in the body I didn’t even think about shooting it in the head. He stood there forever. That morning we went back to camp empty handed. That evening we sat on Nathan’s rock. It was a slow night till all of a sudden two, maybe 3 deer stepped out of the trees about 270 yards away. We could not put antlers on any of them. I had the worst buck fever. I was shaking so bad (even my stomach was shaking out of control. We had to switch guns to see antlers because my scope was better, then we switched back once Tyler put antlers on them. The deer watched us the entire time. Tyler said once your ready shoot. I shot twice and missed. I was shooting over its back. I kept forgetting to bolt the bullet out. The second time I jammed the gun. The deer couldn’t figure out where the shots were coming from and they ran towards us. We switched guns again and I took another shot. Dang it!! I forgot to turn the safety off on Tyler’s gun. I then tried to take another shot. I dropped it like a ton of bricks. It groaned. We had never heard that before. We didn’t know what happened to it. Its buddy was acting all weird. We went up to find it and the other deer just hung around. Tyler likes to call me the deer whisperer, because I can seem to attract the deer. It’s kind of funny. We’ll even though we didn’t get an elk this year we had lots of fun. Can’t wait for next year!! (I will post pictures later)
